Construction progress Museum

The renovation of the Maassluis Museum is progressing rapidly. By setting up the steel construction of the new entrance, the first signs of the revitalization are becoming visible in the exterior.

The steel construction is prefabricated in the largest possible parts, to minimize the time necessary to mount the structure on site. Because of the tight construction site, the traffic had to be diverted during the lifting activities. In January, the large glass facades will be placed.

In the interior, the definitive shape of the Dijkzaal – the main exposition room – is becoming clear. With the Dijkzaal and the entrance under construction, the Museum has decided to renovate the adjacent spaces. The materialization of the entrance and Dijkzaal will be continued in the reception area. In a few months, the whole main floor will have been upgraded; ready for the new future of the privatized Museum.
