Kick-off Vredesplein project
26.11.2010
This week the ‘Vredesplein Area’-project in Eindhoven has officially started. JSA is one of the five selected architecture offices working on the project. Social housing corporation Domein organized a workshop with residents and architects last September, as part of the selection procedure.

The project involves the redevelopment of the Vredesplein neighbourhood, north of the city center of Eindhoven. The intention is a physical and social renewal of the area. The existing 400 single family houses, built in the 1920s, are going to be demolished. 425 new houses will be built.

The urban plan is designed by DAT architecten. The houses are grouped in closed building blocks, facing a green and car-free public space. Cars can be parked inside the building blocks. Different architects will work on each block.
