JSA in Architecture Yearbook
JSA’s Westerdok Island project is one of the projects published in the Architecture in the Netherlands Yearbook 2008-2009. The presentation of the new edition of the Yearbook took place in the Amsterdam Conservatory on April the 24th.

The editors of the Yearbook have selected the most remarkable architectural projects realized in The Netherlands over the preceding year. The Yearbook contains 32 project descriptions, as well as a series of essays, highlighting relevant and urgent developments in Dutch architecture.

The buildings designed by JSA on the Westerdok Island are part of the so-called Middle block. They are characterized by a brickwork skin covering the total building. Large panoramic windows with white framing overlook the IJ-river and the Westerdok.
