JSA at Strijp S Manifestation
13.09.2007
JSA is invited, among 30 other participants, to reflect on the transformation of Strijp S, the former industrial site of Philips near the city centre of Eindhoven. At the end of October every participant will present his vision at an exhibition in ‘Het Klokgebouw’. A symposium and a publication are also part of the Manifestation.

In the coming years, the Strijp S site, which used to be a forbidden area for outsiders, is going to be redeveloped to a new part of the city of Eindhoven where people can live, work, go out and relax. West 8 has made an urban plan for Strijp S, which respects the important industrial complexes on the site, like ‘De Hoge Rug’, ‘Het Veemgebouw’ and ‘Het Klokgebouw’. For the triangular centre part of the area, Jo Coenen has made a more detailed development strategy. The intention of the Manifestation is to add new and refreshing (architectural) ideas and in this way contribute to the ongoing transformation of Strijp S.

The exhibition can be visited in ‘Hal 3’ of the ‘Klokgebouw’ on the Strijp S site in Eindhoven, from October 20 till October 28, 2007.
